Heat alert for Florida Panhandle: dangerous heat indices and rip currents

Dangerous heat indices up to 113°F, rip current risks, and Level 4 HeatRisk for Pace and Milton are in effect. Alert extended through Wednesday (July 27). Cooling centers are open in nearby counties but not Santa Rosa. Pace residents should take precautions and avoid beach swimming.
