Peak Aug 12-13 with new moon providing dark skies. Free, family-friendly outdoor activity for weekend stargazing. Buck moon peaks July 21-22 (Tuesday/Wednesday) — good for evening walks. Chabot Space & Science Center hosts a Perseid watch party on Aug 12. Weather forecast shows mild, foggy conditions which may affect coastal viewing but inland should be clear.
