Goaltending Competition Intensifies After Daws Struggles

Jake Allen stopped 20 shots in his 500th NHL start during the Vancouver win, but earlier high-goal outings by Allen and Nico Daws keep the position under scrutiny. Allen is expected to face Ottawa, with an Allen-Daws split likely in the back-to-back context; Rémi Poirier's continued full-team practice adds pressure without a confirmed deployment change.
