House oversight expands into election integrity, jury practices and member finances

House committees are pursuing several early-stage inquiries: Comer’s demands concerning alleged D.C. jury-nullification training, an election-administration audit after roughly 600 ballots reportedly contained errors, and scrutiny of Rep. Ilhan Omar’s finances. Prospective Democratic leaders are also preparing a possible 2027 oversight agenda, but many allegations remain unverified and some activity is contingent on future House control.
