Google weaves Gemini 3.1 into phones, home, work, and cloud
Gemini Everywhere: Google’s Unified AI
Google is rolling out its latest Gemini 3.1 models, including the ultra-fast Flash‑Lite and enterprise-focused Pro, while retiring older Gemini 3 versions and nudging developers to migrate. These models are being tightly integrated across the Google ecosystem: Pixel phones can use Gemini to order groceries, Google Home gets AI-powered camera ‘Live Search’ and smarter device control, and Workspace, Keep, and Tasks gain automation and persistent, app-specific chat history. At the same time, Google is expanding Gemini 3.1 Pro across Cloud and enterprise platforms, positioning it as a core workflow engine. The push raises questions around changing costs and recently patched security issues, underscoring both the power and risks of deeply embedding Gemini into everyday tools.
