Angels roster churn continues ahead of lockout-era deadlines

The Mets claimed Kyren Paris off waivers; he went 0-for-15 with eight strikeouts in 18 Angels plate appearances in 2026. Sebastián Rivero and Sammy Peralta cleared waivers and were outrighted to Salt Lake, with both able to elect free agency. The latest report lists the 40-man roster at 37; Rule 5 protection, arbitration and non-tender decisions are approaching, while Stephenson’s option and out-of-options players remain watch items rather than confirmed decisions.
