School Consolidation Plan Moves to County Council with $62M Funding Gap

Vigo County Commissioners approved Option 6.2 (new east side high school) without a property tax referendum. Funding ask: $15M upfront from county, $6M/year ongoing, plus $2M/year from city (casino tax). Mayor Sakbun expressed cautious support. County Council vote in September.
