UNC upsets No. 25 Pitt, creating momentum before Duke

North Carolina rallied to beat No. 25 Pittsburgh 21-17 on Oct. 10, improving to 3-2 and giving Bill Belichick his first ranked win at UNC. Defensive improvement and second-half adjustments are encouraging, but offensive inconsistency and multiple defensive injuries—including a potentially season-ending knee injury to Kaleb Cost—make unbeaten Duke the next major test.
