Baton Rouge accountability, education, and campus and pedestrian safety

LSU police arrested Ronald White after a woman accused him of rape at gunpoint in a campus study room; the allegation remains unproven. A Southern University campus shooting reportedly injured someone, with the shooter still at large and details limited; in a separate case, Aaliyah Street was arrested after a shooting that left a victim expected to survive. Cole’s CATS-linked indictment challenge, EBR enrollment decline, pedestrian deaths, and the Nov. 3 school-board contests—including a District 4 rematch—remain matters to track.
