Adaptive EEG BCIs target lower calibration burden

A 31-participant closed-loop study reported 77.5% 2D and 86% 1D cursor accuracy after jointly adapting the user and decoder. The result strengthens co-adaptation as a key EEG BCI direction, while the neuroadaptive-overfitting framework highlights the need to preserve intent, agency, and long-term clinical benefit.
