Alysa Liu skipping 2026–27 figure-skating season to recalibrate

Liu announced on August 25, 2026 that she will not compete during the 2026–27 season while continuing to train toward a possible 2027–28 return. A newly reviewed retrospective reinforces her comeback narrative and Olympic results but provides no evidence of a competition return; an ISU standings reference also adds no confirmed Liu ranking.
