Army faces quarterback and defensive-transition questions before 2026 opener
Army is maintaining its option approach entering the Bryant opener, with the projected starting quarterback in place but both backups expected to play. Inside linebacker remains unsettled, possible returns for Cole Searight and Bryson Banks could affect the Week 1 rotation, and Dawson Jones has won kickoff duties. Defensive coordinator Daryl Dixon must integrate eight new defensive starters, while captain Stephen Nnadozie assumes a larger leadership role.
