Ocean County Election Administration and Voter Challenges

Election disputes remain active before the November 3 general election. The Toms River school-board ballot redraw, possible MOVE Act issue, election-official conflict, and review of 33 MVC-affected registrations remain unresolved; in Bay Head, a judge allowed review but barred voter removals amid concerns about intimidation and alleged partisan targeting. Early in-person voting starts October 24, and a local ballot guide says Toms River has no township race this year. A separate Union County federal case remains an allegation, not a conviction, and provides no evidence of a broader or Ocean County problem.
