AI and Non-Animal Methods Face a Healthcare Validation Gap

AI deployment is expanding across care, diagnostics, research, manufacturing, and medical devices, while NIH has funded a $7.5 million tissue-chip center and FDA has discussed shifting most preclinical data toward non-animal methods by 2029. Human lung organoids with functional resident immune cells and growing use of electronic health records for research add important translational and data-governance angles, but independent evidence on utility, reproducibility, privacy, bias, regulation, and scalability remains limited.
