Mumps outbreak and broad availability concerns cloud SDSU season
SDSU has reported 14 confirmed mumps cases and one probable case, with screening, contact tracing, isolation and booster efforts continuing. Reporting indicates roughly 30 players were quarantined at one point, including contributors, and offensive-line continuity was disrupted; 13 players were unavailable for the Texas State game. Oregon State is also administering booster shots before hosting SDSU, but the program has not confirmed that the outbreak is resolved or supplied a complete player-specific accounting.
