UAB opener provides first test of revamped Illini

Illinois hosts UAB on Sept. 3, 2026, at Gies Memorial Stadium in the programs' first meeting. The opener will feature Houser's debut and early evidence on the rebuilt offensive line, receiver availability, and Bobby Hauck's new 3-3-5 defense.
