Nylander’s Even-Strength Possession Under Scrutiny
Nylander’s scoring is strong, but recent analysis points to weaker 5-on-5 possession indicators, including a 46.2% shot-attempt share and 40.3% expected-goals share in one report. Hiller wants him retrieving pucks deeper and carrying them through the neutral zone; Nylander has separately raised communication and coverage as concerns. The measures vary and the impact of any adjustments is not yet known.
