Matthews Reaches 700 Games as a Maple Leaf

Matthews reached 700 games with Toronto against Columbus on October 21, becoming the 17th Leaf to achieve the milestone; he scored and added an assist and has seven goals and 16 points through 10 games. A new Pagnotta-related snippet says he wants to stay if an unspecified condition is met, but the limited context leaves that signal unconfirmed and unresolved.
