Applied AI Moves Into Clinical Imaging and Engineering Workflows

A vision-language ultrasound agent was evaluated on about 11,000 studies across three institutions to identify 16 conditions and draft reports, but its 99.6% diagnosis figure came from manual review of only 100 reports. This is a potentially useful clinical-support result, not evidence of broad clinical effectiveness; emergency-setting trials and patient outcomes remain open. Engineering-agent claims for simulation workflows likewise need independent productivity and safety validation.
