Dangerous heat affects Boone and Kenton counties

A Heat Advisory is in effect Sept. 3 across the region, with heat-index values reportedly approaching 105 and dangerous conditions continuing through Friday evening. Residents should limit strenuous outdoor activity, hydrate, use shade or cooling locations and monitor for heat illness; storms may develop into the Labor Day weekend.
