Trump administration rolling back protections on Palmyra Atoll, Kingman Reef, and Pacific Remote Islands Marine National Monument, allowing commercial fishing. These areas host some of the highest shark predator densities (blacktip, grey reef sharks). Directly threatens elasmobranch habitats and aligns with earlier ESA rollback and dFAD impacts.
