Sustainable dietary patterns challenge extreme restriction
Evidence continues to favor minimally processed foods, fiber, legumes, whole grains, vegetables, and adequate protein over aggressive dieting or allegiance to a single branded pattern. Associations with slower biological aging are encouraging but do not prove longer life; fasting and calorie restriction remain uncertain for human longevity, and supplement claims are generally weaker than foundational nutrition.
