GLP-1 drugs and longevity biotechnology remain preclinical

Semaglutide and related GLP-1 studies in mice report improved physical and cognitive function, regeneration, inflammation, and possible lifespan extension, including approximately 100 extra days in one report and a 12% median extension in female mice. Approved drugs have human evidence for selected metabolic and cardiovascular outcomes, but human lifespan benefit, optimal dosing, durability, mechanisms, and long-term safety remain unresolved. Recovery peptides such as BPC-157, TB-500, CJC-1295, and ipamorelin remain insufficiently studied.
