CVS plans to split its healthcare businesses by 2028

CVS has specified the proposed boundaries: Aetna, Caremark, Specialty, Oak Street Health and Signify Health would remain together, while about 9,000 pharmacies, MinuteClinic and Health100 would form CVS Pharmacy. Joyner and Shah are named to lead the businesses; standalone financials, separation details and the value impact remain to be demonstrated.
