Property tax amendment threatens mosquito control funding
Amendment 3 ballot language has been rewritten to be more honest after a judge's order, and is now ready for another judicial review by Aug. 14. The amendment threatens $12B in revenue loss to special districts, including North Walton ($220k loss) and South Walton Mosquito District. Governor DeSantis defends the original language. The funding threat is linked to expanding dengue risk.
