Cal road test ends in another late one-score loss

Virginia Tech lost 25-20 at California on October 10, falling to 4-2 overall and 1-2 in the ACC. Cal overcame the absence of starting quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele as backup Jackson Brousseau threw for 321 yards; fourth-quarter defensive failures, penalties, squib-kick execution and the Hokies' failed final possession decided the game.
